Great news for the Novice2Pro Fishing team tonight...drum roll please...we have
acquired a boat!!! Donny's friend, Mikey, has graciously given us his 14
foot Starcraft aluminum boat. He could not use it any longer so he gave it
to us. It was fully outfitted for fishing, including a trolling motor,
seats, rod holders, etc.
It is a 1963 boat, but it is in great condition. It will get us to the
places that we have been unable to get to from the shoreline. We will post
pictures of the boat once we get a chance to clean it and take pictures.
It will be found in the "Our Gear" page.
Look out walleye...here comes the Novice2Pro Fishing team!!!

Another crappie night turned into a Donny-Walleye-Catching-Fest. He nailed
4 walleye tonight before I caught one! Of course he was all high and
mighty after pulling ahead of me for a few minutes. He caught the
following walleye: 1 x 15 inch, 2 x 16 inches and 1 x 17 inch. I ended up
catching a 17 inch walleye after fishing for another 20 minutes.
We drove home that night with Donny feeling real good about his chances this
year to get his revenge for my pummeling I gave him last year. The funny
thing is that last year started the same way. Let's see if he can keep up
with me.

My first experience speaking to a DEC Representative
should have been under better circumstances, but at least I have an interesting
story to tell about
